Hi, I'm Simi.
My personal healing journey is at the heart of everything I do as a therapist. Growing up, I used art to cope with unhealthy conditions, and later realized it wasn’t just a way to get through things — it was how I began to understand myself and find peace. Creativity has always been (and still is!) woven into everything I do, from the way I fold towels to how I colour-code my calendar or decorate my home.
As a child, I often felt misunderstood and struggled to keep up. I overcompensated, living with a constant sense of pressure. Being diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood finally brought clarity to experiences I had carried for years, including procrastination, overwhelm, and anxiety.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as an emergency and surgical nurse. That work taught me how to stay grounded, compassionate, and present in moments of crisis. It’s where I experienced the power of genuine connection and empathetic conversation, and it’s ultimately what led me to this field. Through my work, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the vulnerability and courage involved in healing. I’m passionate about helping you reconnect with yourself in ways that feel authentic, creative, and meaningful.

How I Can Help You
As an art therapist and counsellor, I work with intuitive, sensitive, and creative adults to better understand their patterns and build more supportive relationships with themselves and others.
Whether you’re navigating ADHD, anxiety, stress, or relationship challenges, I’m here to help you find creative ways to express yourself and listen to what you need, so you can finally feel seen, heard, and understood.
My Strengths as a Therapist
Clients often describe me as warm, intuitive, and easy to talk to. I notice the small things, subtle shifts, and unspoken feelings, and help you explore what’s underneath with care.
I show up as my authentic, vulnerable self in the therapy room, offering a calm, grounded presence, especially during emotionally intense conversations. I’m a clear communicator and use visuals or simple explanations when they’re helpful.
Creativity is central to how I work, sometimes through metaphor, imagery, or art, offering another way to express what’s going on.
I approach my work with curiosity and ongoing learning, and strive to offer care that’s respectful of diverse identities and lived experiences, including those of neurodivergent and highly sensitive individuals, and clients who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour (BIPOC).
How I Work
My Approach
When we work together, I offer steady support and guidance as we make sense of what’s been coming up for you. We’ll draw from a range of approaches — including talk therapy, narrative therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, and EFT (tapping) — using what fits best for you and what you’re working through.
I aim to create a space that feels safe, thoughtful, and supportive, where we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels right. My role is to help you better understand your patterns, reflect on your story, and move toward changes that feel realistic and sustainable in your life.
